My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance is an American Emo-band, founded in 2001. The name „My Chemical Romance“ comes from Irvine Welsh´s novel „Ecstasy“! The members are Gerard Way, the singer, Ray Toro, a giutarist, Frank Ieron, another guitarist (since 2002), Bob Bryar, the drummer and Gerard´s brother Mikey Way, who plays the bass guitar!

Since 2001 they have recorded three albums, namely:

* I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love

* Three Cheers  for sweet Revenge

* The black Parade

The band has been influenced by the following artists:

*the misfits

*Morrissey

*the Smiths

*Iron Maiden

Meanwhile they have found their style, a combination of Comics, Fantasy and Horror!

My Chemical Romance got famous with their second album “ Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge“. But band- leader Gerard was overwhelmed by theri success and got addicted to drugs. When the situation escalated, Gerard got help from a therapist.

In 2005 My Chemical Romance joined „Green Day“ on their „American Idiot Tour“. Shortly after the band started a big world tour.

On November 2nd, my friends Sandra, sophie and I vistited the My Chemical Romance concert in Vienna, which was absolutely fabulous.

My best friends´names are Sandra and Sophie and they are very important to me. In our free time we often meet and do funny, but also crazy things together! Sandra and I went to elementary school in Steinakirchen together! I got to know Sophie in the first form of Grammar school! I thought she was a nice girl, but after  some time I had to see her other site!

But the situation changed, when we went on a skiing holiday in Saalbach one year ago! We got better friends and blether everyonce in a while!

However, best friends we only got at the beginning og the 4th form!  From that time on we´ve been doing everything together! We listen to the same musiQ and go schopping together! We even thought about a name for the two of us, namely kapuZzis!

But I don´t know how we came to this name! That´s a good demonstration to show, how crazy we are!

Without Sandra and Sophie my life could be awful! They are fabulous and I don´t know what I´d do without them!

My favourite book….

I think the best book on earth is „Die Schnäppchenjägerin“, or „Confession of a Shopaholic)

The book is about a woman named Rebecca Bloomwood. She is a self-confident young lady, single, and she works as a financial journalist for a newspaper. But her life is topsy-turvey.Rebecca is a hopeless shopaholic. She can´t resist a bargain.Her credit-cards are a catastrophe, because she spends too much money going shopping. So she runs out of debt.At first Rebecca wants to save money…. but it doesn´t work. Then she works as a shop-assistant in a fashion shop… but it doesn´t work either.So Rebecca is in a pointless situation. Another problem of hers is the handsome, rich business man Luke Brandon. He likes Becky very much, but she thinks that he is very arrogant.

I like this book very much, because is is funny and entertaining. And for all those who want to know more about Beck Bloomwood, there are four more books about Rebecca and her life, namely..

Hi and welcome to my blog!!!

I´m Stefanie Bortis!  I live ina a little village called Wolfpassing! Wolfpassing is in Lower Austria, the most east part of Austria!I am 13 years old and I haven´t got any siblings.

Living in a little village like Wolfpassing isn´t very exciting. We have a castle and a football pitch! That´s all…..

My hobbies are playing tennis,with my friend Verena, reading and watching TV. My favourite TV programme is Formular 1 , because I lve the formular 1 cars and speed. I think the best team is McLaren Mercedes, because of their driver Lewis Hamilton. In winter i often watch skiing on the TV, as a very popular sport in Austria.

My best friends are Sandra and Sophie! They go in the same school as me and we have a lot of fun together.

I attend Grammar School in Wieselburg, which is 10 kilometres from my home. So I have to use the bus to get to school. My favourite subjects are History and Geografie.

I have 3 pets, a guinea pig, a rabbit and a cat.

In the future I want to go to Australia because my uncle lives there with his wife and their daughter Olivia! I also think Australia is an interestinf country.I have been dreaming of it since i was 5 years old.
