My term holiday

On February 6th, 2008 we went to the airpot in Vienna and lather to Milan by plan. Then we took another plane to Miami. After a 10 hour flight we arrive at Miami International Airport. It was very hot and sunny. A taxi took us to Coral Gables, the richest district of Miami. After 15 minutes we reached our hotel, called „Best Miami“.

The next daywe went sight seeing. We saw downtown Miami, the Miracle Mile, a shopping mile only with things you need for a marriage and we also came to Miami Ceach or South Beach. Then we went to the Everglades, the biggest wetlands in Florida. We saw alligator and other tropical animals.

In the evening we were taken to our cruis- ship, the MSC Liraica by taxi. It was a very big ship with 2056 passengers, bars, restaurant, pools a theatre and a casino.

On February 9th we arrived in Cozumel, a little island near the coast of Mexico. We went snorkelling and saw a lot of colourful fish in a breath-taking reef. After snorkelling for an hour we went to a real Caribbean beach, with white sand, blue sea and a lot of palm trees. But an hour later it began to rain and we went back to the shio by catamaran.

The next day we staye d on the shio. It was very hot and the sea was quite calm.

On February 11th, we got of at the barbour of Limon, a city in the East of Cost Rica. This day we decided to go to the rainforests with a guide from the ship. We saw bananas, coconuts and other tropical fruit, ants, which were as big as a finger, trees which could move, sloths and a lot of monkeys. The rainforests had breatch.taking colours and at the end of our tour we had a marvellous view across the channels of Tortugero.

Our next stop was in Panama, but we couln´t leave the ship because of dangerous battles between the police and the workers in Christobal.

So we went further to Colombia. There we had a look at the Rosario Islands. At Isla del Sol we visited a sea aquarium. There we saw dolphines, sharks and other animals of the Carribean Sea.

Our last day we spent in the Dominican Republic. In the morning we went weale- watching and after lunch we went to a very beautiful beach at the isalnd of Cayo Levantado.

On Februry 20th, we traveled back to Austria by a plane of Alitalia.
